Selling my 1996 Ranger extended cab with the 4.0L V6 and automatic transmission. I’ve owned it for almost four years and used it as both a work truck and a mountain adventure truck. I need to move to something that can safely fit a car seat in the cab.It’s definitely a 10-footer--plenty of scratches and dings, but it still looks good and has been maintained and cared for. It’s a useful, capable truck with some nice upgrades.The Good• 4WD high and low both work excellently; manual locking front hubs• Ford Twin-Traction Beam front suspension and a solid rear axle• 2" lift with front leveling kit, professionally installed by 4 Wheel Parts in Loveland• New wheels and tires• New windshield• New headlights and taillights• New EVAP canister and thermistor• Bluetooth stereo with Apple CarPlay• Ford Explorer bucket seats and center console with lots of storage• Power windows and door locks• Topper shell, plus an additional custom-welded steel ladder rack, if you want it• Clean title in handThe Not so GoodIt’s a 30-year-old truck, and I want to be up front about a few things:• Small oil leak• Some lifter noise• Passenger door locks and unlocks normally from inside, but the exterior key lock doesn’t work• A noticeable dent in the passenger-side bed above the wheel• The usual scratches, dings, and wear from being used as a truckIt’s been a great truck for work, hauling gear, and getting into the mountains.
