2016 Ford F-150 Coyote 5.0L

Up for sale is a pretty sweet and rare 2016 F-150 extended cab with an 8 foot bed and only 48k miles. You can daily drive the longest F150 on the market with a big V8 for pretty much the same cost to operate a Toyota Camry. Everybody loves to own a truck until you get to the gas pump..especially here in California with some of the most ridiculous gas prices in the country. This would be an awesome truck for a contractor, sales rep, plumber, mechanic, parts delivery, technician, road service, etc.This truck does not run on gasoline. It exclusively runs on compressed natural gas (CNG). CNG is basically a compressed version of the stuff your stove and oven run on. So the truck was equipped by Ford on the assembly line with a "CNG prep package" and then shipped off to A-1 Alternative Fuel Systems in Fresno, CA where they finished the build. With that said, this truck wasn't converted in a garage or a DIY project but professionally done without voiding Ford's warranty. The average price for a similar CNG conversion costs around $9750 on top of the original Ford window sticker price.CNG is currently $1.64 where I fill up in Fontana..it usually costs me about $10 to $17 to fill up. Compare that to a regular gasoline F-150 that can easily cost over $120 to fill up each time. CNG prices are also much more stable compared to gasoline/diesel and taxed far less. Plus there are no extra fees or surcharges for using a credit or debit card. There are plenty of CNG filling stations available in Southern California. However, SoCalGas stations generally tend to be the cheapest..at least in my experience.This truck is also pretty special because unlike the CNG Honda Civic and other aftermarket CNG conversions that have big tanks in the trunk or bed, the tanks are all underneath in this truck..so you don't lose any cargo space.This F-150 has the aluminum body and the incredibly desired Coyote 5.0L V8 naturally aspirated engine which has a ton of power without any no turbos or other overengineered components. Plus the 2015-2017 model years are widely considered to be the very best model years from a reliability standpoint. Some of the newer models have oil consumption issues and have a ton of issues with their 10-speed transmission.There are lots of examples of these with 5.0L engines with over 300k miles. This one only has 48k miles..so it has a long way to go. It's been meticulously maintained plus CNG burns much cleaner than gasoline leaving almost no carbon buildup inside the engine. The car has spent its entire life in Southern California..so it's never seen any salt or snow. No warning lights on the dash. AGM battery installed in August 2024. Clean interior. Ice cold A/C. There is some wear and tear and some paint damage on a few spots..specifically on the bed of the truck.Even though this is an XL trim truck..it's actually nicely optioned and has some goodies. It has a backup camera, backup sensors, power locks/windows/mirrors, CD player, AUX input, bedliner, towing package (truck is rated up to 9,100 lbs), comes with Weather Guard saddle/tool box (over $1000 new), tinted windows, etc.Clean California title. Tags are current. I am not in a rush to sell it. I don't know how many other newer body style CNG powered F-150s are for sale in California or across the country for that matter. I recently upgraded to a newer F-150 and don't have much use for another truck. Happy to have any mechanic or dealer inspect it.
